Allergy Alert: Sepakler (Anaphylaxis)
- Do NOT give Sepakler (severe allergy).
- Avoid these antibiotics:
• Penicillin
• Ampicillin
• Amoxicillin
• Cephalosporins (can cause cross-reaction) - Levofloxacin is safe (oral test was negative).
- Do NOT give any antibiotics without a specialist's advice.
Hi Lucy! "Cross-reaction" means your body might react to a medicine that is similar to one you’re already allergic to. For example, if you're allergic to Sepakler (a cephalosporin), you might also react to penicillin or amoxicillin because they are similar. So, it's safer to avoid them.
PS. I'm not a doctor, it's just based on my research. Let me know if you have more questions!
