Earthquakes are rarely occur in Korea. I never experienced earthquakes before 2017. When I experienced earthquakes at first time, I was so confused. I didn’t know that how should I do. That time my brother was at super market, every products were fallen out of the display stand and most of people ran away toward entrance. Korean didn’t prepare well for earthquakes. After that government stared to make guidance how we should do when earthquakes occur. Earthquakes are frequently occur in Japan. That’s why Japanese are very organized when earthquakes happen. I learned many things from that experience. We have to prepare for disaster. Preparing disaster bag is very important. We should put important documents, emergency food, water, cloths and medicines etc in bag. If it occur disaster, we just bring prepared disaster bag and leave home. After occur disaster, it is too late to prepare what you bring from your home. We need to set up a place to meet family in advance when it occur disaster. Otherwise it will be very hard to meet family again if family members are in different places when disaster happen. Maybe power will be off under disaster. I still remember one friend’s experience. When she attend meeting, speaker emphasized the importance of preparing disaster bag. She did follow what she heard. After one week, there were big fire in Canada. She could escape from her house with disaster bag immediately. She said if she didn’t prepare disaster bag in advance, she would loose her life. Maybe she would spend too many time to prepare what she should bring.
