Why people like boy than girls

Why people wants to have boy more than a girl. I think because of past. Past people though boys are more better than girls. More stronger, smarter also boys could got a job easily but girls cannot. But, nowdays people like girls to. Girl could be athletics, president or more better than before. People think girl is more easier to care.
