I don't know class today

I thought canceled our class. because I got a message from a new teacher from August 10th.
I asked Joy English the phone and she said she has a class until the 9th of this month.
so I was happy.
I thought we were finished without saying goodbye.
Bad things happened in Korea A man wielded a knife in a department store, injuring more than 10 people.
So I canceled my plan to go the library with my son.
My son wanted to the library but I say "We will stay at home" I want go out.
