major works of customs agent are consulting and clearance.
Fitst, Clearnace need to improt and export something.
When some company wants to improt or exprot, they have to coumstoms clearing procedure for it.
Clearance can be acted by only shipper and customs agent legally.
But becasue shipper doesn't know about customs well, so they ask to customs agent.
So, clearance is customs agent's unique area.
Second, consulting has lots of kinds.
For example, there are FTA, HS code, compandy judgment, classification of itmes and administrative lawsuit.
If I get into major company, it is quite probable that I will do consulting job.
So, customs agent have to get knowledge of overall customs.
To be customs agnet, I have to get a 2 tetst.
Subjects of 1st test are accounting, customjs law(including FTA), business English and excise law.
subjects of 2nd test are customs law, customs valuation, HS code and practice of tarde.
