8. (explanatory) note

In 2017, I participated in the review of new high school music textbook according to the 2015 revised curriculum. I corrected errors and presented opinions on the composition of the textbook for effective teaching-learning activities.
It was a great textbook that reflected the high school-level learning contents presented in the 2015 revised curriculum, but I personally felt sorry for it. This textbook has folding wings. If you open the folded part like a magazine, there is also learning content. It seems to be an advantage can see contents of the same topic at a glance, but there are too many contents in one page and the letters are small and full, so I wondered if the learning effect would be better than dividing them into two pages. However, at that time, there was not enough time to present any academic or empirical evidence, and I suggested only errors of musical concepts because I thought it would be better not to present personal opinions to the writers' hard work.
Through this experience, I realized that when producing learning materials, I need to consider the cognitive development stage and the characteristics of attention concentration, and learning content needs to be presented in various teaching methods. Since then, I provide various audiovisual materials, historical backgrounds, literary connections, and proximity to daily life.
