Last weekend, my wife came over her sister's place where in Halifax in another state. She brought the gift for me from there. She was going to buy lobsters since it is well known in Halifax but I denied it. So she bought a tiny owl statue instead which is made of pewter. It is petite but well made and looked upscale. I really liked it since I belive the owl protects our place during night time. She knew that I like it. I put it on the top of a shell where it can see our entrance so that it protects us. I like others such as elephants, sunflowers or etc for the same reason for several years, It will bring the luck to my home. Surprisingly, many western people here in canada, they belive the same myth. I found out that there were many animal figures when I visited open houses. They told that it would bring the luck. I was surprised that they believed it as well.
