this role is between customer and developer. in local branch, they are facing customer's problem and customer's needs.
then developers in headquarter they are doing focusing on product development.
I am working between those two division. need understanding customer's needs correctly and also understand developers goal and roadmap. then I usually try to meet those guys to be one way alignment.
So application is usually interesting part to know product development and customer's environment indirectly.
I was working with customer closely but it is actually hard because usually semicunductor chipmakers customers are touff and strict. I started HW eng. in the chipmakers and , I was working from local field service engineer and moved to local application engineer and now finally moved application engineer in hardware company's application integrator.
I actually moved many positions so wouldn't move much in further but, in company I would like to move other jobs as well in long term future. kind of marketing and sales, it would be interesting as well.
