I disagree with the statement that women are better at childcare than men therefore they should focus more on raising children and less on their working life.
In my opinion, this statement is only prejudiced to divide a role between men and women. However, People can't judge a women's role or men's they can judge a role by their personality. For example, my friend Julia works but her husband James doesn't work. Because Julia enjoys a competitive work-life whereas James wants to live peacefully and focuses more on his children. For this reason, they can boost efficiency and reduce complaints about their job. Based on my friend's case, childcare or working role is depended on the personality not gender roles.
Besides, nowadays, more and more men try to participate in childcare without the distinction of gender roles. In my case, My husband changed his job because he wanted to focus more on childcare. The previous work was so hard to care for the child and he didn't have any holiday for childcare. Compared to this, the present company offered two months' holiday for caring for a child. Therefore, he decided to have another job for making enough time with his baby. Like my husband's case, an increasing number of men want to concentrate on their time for a baby.
In conclusion, I believe that people should not judge any role not only women but also men. Depending on personality or situation, we concentrate on work or childcare as a free will not a gender reason.
