Today we discussed white lies. I noticed that the Korean expression for white lies had the same meaning and it is directly translated. Many words in Korean are also directly translated from English. In Korea, people who usually go to jail are people who commit fatal crimes or people who don't have enough money to cover the penalties. And in Korea, someone who has been in jail feel very humiliated even after they come out of jail to their ordinary lives. People who have had criminal offenses have difficulties gaining entry to companies as well. Living in jail is also very hard. I just heard that there are many bad guys in jail which gives out a tense atmosphere and makes it easier for fights to happen like in movies.
