he said “Hate can not drive our hate. only love can do that.” in 1955 on a cold December day in Alabama, Rosa parks who is black, was coming home from work and she was riding a bus. white man told her to get up from her seats. but she refused that and police arrested her. this was one of the big reason that the blacks got up. they did not ride a bus for 381 days, and they marched and protested for equal rights. Martin walk with them. while they were marching Martin Luter king said his big words. “I have a dream that one day in alabama little black boys and black girls will join hands with little white girls and little white boys as a sister and brothers” after ten years of protests, the “white only” sign came down. after this Martin went where ever people needed help. he was awarded with novel prize for his act. but when he went to help garbage collecters who were on strike, he got bullets in his chest. he died. The death of Martin Luter king was a very painful event to the ones who followed him, and also it outburst their anger. there was a riot in the huge cities like Washington D.C. Many people grief for the death of Martin Luter king so they made the day of Martin Luter King Jr in January 3rd Monday. But even after his death his great words still remains and be hope for others.
